An editorial reading in dialogue with Madame Grès

Madame Grès’s sculptural treatment of folds offers a lens for Apricot Drape. Fringe and gleaming details gather at the neckline in Sara’s drawing; diagonal lines guide the eye towards the waist before the skirt opens into a quieter expanse. This progression moves from concentration to release, as though light has found a path through the design. Detail gives the opening its emphasis, while drape carries it onward.
