Colour Finds Its Rhythm

An editorial reading in dialogue with Sonia Delaunay

Sonia Delaunay explored how neighbouring colours could suggest movement, carrying that research between art and textile design. Burgundy Fringe can be read through two rhythms: flowing colour above, and repeated fringe below a diagonal division. Sara’s drawing joins them into one visual journey, moving from chromatic variety to the depth of burgundy. Boldness becomes a matter of composition, with repetition giving variety a sense of unity.
