An editorial reading in dialogue with Cristóbal Balenciaga
Cristóbal Balenciaga explored volume as a way to change a garment’s silhouette. That idea draws attention to Sara’s broad rose shoulder drape, framing the upper body and making it the focal point. A long central line and side extensions lead the eye from width to length. In this reading, proportion creates a composed presence, while curved decorative details lend it delicacy.
